Mariana Salvador has been crafting characterful whites and reds in the Dão for almost a decade, with Revela ("Revelation") being the first project that is wholly her own. Vinified half in stainless steel and half in neutral barrique, the Encruzado is Revela's "weekday wine" - equal parts approachable and appreciable for those who want to dig deeper. A cool, gravelly nose mixes with well-defined white peaches and fresh herbs, while the palate gives this delightful, piña colada-like feel with a refreshing and decidedly delicious finish. - Charlie Arnedt
